I am an experienced Registered Nurse.  I have worked in the Emergency Department even through the height of the Covid crisis.  In practice and personal experience, I have seen women of color desperately seeking answers for their symptoms especially regarding women's health issues.  They had battled with not feeling validated by their provider and came to the ER desperate to find answers. 
 

I understand how it feels to finally feel seen after having my symptoms dismissed.  I want to bring awareness to the health disparities present.  My goal is that the information provided helps you make better informed decisions.  I hope that this awareness also helps you to understand the importance of civic engagement to affect the policies impacting the care of yourself and those you love.
